Hideo Kojima said at the Tokyo Game Show over the weekend that a third entry in the Zone of the Enders franchise was in development at one point, and promised fans that he intends to churn out a sequel eventually.

The esteemed developer dropped the info during a ZoE panel on Saturday, though didn’t go into any further details on the subject. Many anticipated a ZoE 3 reveal at the bash, but alas this didn’t transpire.

Fortunately, the event attracted considerable attention from fans, so much so that Kojima was impressed enough to go back to the office and have a chinwag about the series with his staff at Kojima Productions.

Keep those fingers crossed, folks.

I've never played it, but the footage I've seen looks pretty lame if you ask me.

I don't wanna be one of those people that says and thinks this, but

    METAL GEAR SOLID 5?
    (Peacewalker doesn't count)

It looks lame? You should at least play the game then judge it.....

    ZOE3 would be amazing.
