Square Enix head honcho Yoichi Wada has said he has laid down plans for the future of the Deus Ex franchise within the company.
That’s according to developer Eidos Montreal’s Marce-Andre Dufort, who, when quizzed by Eurogamer on whether the studio would like to do another game, commented, “I would like to, but I don’t know what the future is right now.”
“I know that Wada-san said he had a plan for the future, but right now we’re celebrating the success of the game, since it’s the first game of the studio.”
“I don’t know if you’ve seen the credits of the main game, but there were a lot of production babies, so I think people want to spend some time with their families and take some time off. That’s pretty much where we are right now.”
In addition to Thief 4, Eidos Montreal is currently beavering away on a new IP, and has also prepared a new boss battle for Deus Ex: Human Revolution’s forthcoming Missing Link DLC.
