Crysis – no not Crysis 2 – has finally arrived on PlayStation 3, in the form of a downloadable game available on the PlayStation Network, and brings with it all the explosive action from the 2007 PC original.
“Without the power of the CryENGINE 3, we would never have attempted it, but with fully deferred lighting, a PS3-specific rendering pipeline and SPU-enhanced physics code, together with more efficient memory layouts and more intelligent algorithms, we brought the experience of Crysis to consoles without compromise.” said Senior Designer at Crytek UK, Alex Hood.
Crysis is available today, October 4, in North America, for $19.99 on the PlayStation Store.
