SEGA has confirmed that it will release a high definition port of Dreamcast graffiti-‘em-up Jet Set Radio for PlayStation Network, PC and Xbox Live this summer.
No word yet on whether the game will feature any additional content other than HD visuals, but we’ll be sure to keep you posted.
Jet Set Radio (known as Jet Grind Radio in the U.S.) pioneered the use of cel-shaded graphics in videogames, and sees players controlling Tokyo-based ‘rudie’ Beat as you graffiti walls and perform tricks in attempt to recruit new gang members.
Elsewhere, SEGA also lifted the lid on a contest for U.S. and U.K. gamers, allowing Jet Set Radio fans to design eighteen brand new pieces of in-game art. The lucky winners will bag a prize pack that features Eton Corporation’s new Bluetooth sound system - known as Rukus - plus various other goodies.
