Did a hacker crack the Taco Bell PS Vita competition?

The controversial Taco Bell PlayStation Vita competition may have a bit more of an explanation, thanks to a hacker claiming he generated code to swindle the company out of Sony’s new handheld gaming device. The hacker in question, Sinister, posted information on the forum ExploitN, complete with images of a Vita and the letter indicating he won the competition.
As we reported earlier, many people who entered the contest believed they won, but learned their codes were invalid. They started a Facebook page and several have filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau.
One of PSU’s members, Spotted, sent us information explaining the situation as he was one of the people duped into thinking he won a PS Vita. According to Kotaku, the hacker apparently released a bot for other forum members, and others on the forum said they used it to win the competition, too.
If you were also duped into thinking you won, drop us a note and share your story.
Thanks, SPOTTED.

to won this contest. I am a member of the Facebook group as well. I won February 1, 2012 by texting my code as per the rules on the box and the Taco Bell website. I entered my contact info by text and received a text back saying I would receive a confirmation email. Well that never happened! I saved the text I sent, my code, and receipt and called Taco Bell and Ventura Associates as well as emailed them informing them of my situation and let them know I have all my proof. I finally received an email from Ventura saying that I wasn't on thee winner file and that they would have to check with their client and when they hear from them they will let me know. Well it now has been almost a week on Friday. In the statement Taco Bell released they said because of the Bots their system was compromise and affected the January 30th winners and the will have a separate drawing for those who entered that day. Like Ryaire said in the above post after researching I saw that post on the official Playstation blog that showed Taco Bell was aware of the Bot but didn't make this public info until Feb. 23rd I believe. I don't understand what this had to do with text winners! I want an explanation where my personal text info went! Was it compromised as well?

ep I was 1 of the Jan 30th winners and according to the posting by Exploitn, it was put on there web site for members to use...... I am not a member of that site so the "You Won" screen I got was legit and Taco Bell needs to pull their head from thir nether region and discount the people who belong to that site and step up give the Vitas to the people who really did win honestly.... myself and the several other people on the facebook page who has multiple pages of proof we won fair and square! Wake up Taco Bell!
