Sony brawler PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale may appear on PlayStation Vita, game director Omar Kendall has hinted.

Quizzed by Digital Trends if a PS Vita version of the beat-‘em-up was in development, Kendall replied: “Maybe…Stay tuned.”

PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale features a host of iconic Sony characters slugging it out across familiar locations, and features support for up to four players. The game is pencilled in for a holiday 2012 release for PlayStation 3.

If the game does turn up on PS Vita, then it’ll be the second major new PS3 release to get a handheld version following confirmation of a portable release of Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time earlier today.
