The Ultimate PS3 Games Showdown has officially kicked off! We've set out to decide the Best PS3 Game of All Time, but we need your help. Through a series of match-ups, we'll narrow the field until only the best of the best remain. All you need to do is click the link below and cast YOUR vote in our official poll!

The Contenders:

Battlefield 3

One of 2011's biggest shooters also marked the debut of DICE’s most impressive game engine to date, Frostbite 2. Gorgeous visuals highlight Battlefield 3's absolutely bombastic campaign, and you just can’t get such sprawling multiplayer sessions anywhere else. Whether on land, in air, or on foot, you’ll always be doing something intense in Battlefield 3. Pair that with the rather engaging single-player story, and you’ve got one of the best shooters available on PS3.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

Infinity Ward managed to completely change the way we perceive multiplayer shooters with the original Modern Warfare. Continuing the ridiculously over-the-top story of its predecessor, Modern Warfare 2 turned the dial up to 11; everything was just that much crazier. The multiplayer was expanded upon, and made even more addictive. This entry in PS3’s best games of all time needs little explanation - there's a reason Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was the fastest-selling game of all time upon release (to be later bested only by its sequel).

Which of these two games deserves to move forward in our competition? Cast your votes in the official polling thread, and be sure to vote in all our match-ups to decide the Best PS3 Game Ever!
