According to Siliconera, 90s Genesis icons ToeJam & Earl will be hitting PlayStation 3 as part of SEGA’s Vintage Collection at some point later down the line.
Citing an anonymous source, the site claims that both the original ToeJam & Earl and its super-smooth sequel Panic on Funkotron will be hitting Sony’s flagship console.
ToeJam & Earl arrived on the SEGA Genesis/Mega Drive in 1991 and proved something of a sleeper hit, with critics heaping praise on its soundtrack and humor. The sequel changed thing up by taking on a more traditional platform template, though still proved a massive success.
The duo would later see a revival back in 2002 in the shape of the Xbox exclusive Mission to Earth, though sadly the game failed to set tills alight and didn’t exactly hit it off with reviewers either.
