SCEE today announced that the BBC Sports App beta for PlayStation 3 has just seen a new update that adds more features and content.
The app will now stream content in eye-melting high definition across all live events and, in addition, BBC promises “oodles of live coverage, highlights reels and even a medals table” of this summer’s London Olympics.
If you’d like to give the BBC app a whirl, check it out by downloading it through the XMB; simply go to “My Channels” under “TV/Video Services” to access it.
Note: This app does not seem to be available in North America yet.

Its free for people who live in the UK, because we have to pay a TV license. This is also designed and implented by the BBC, so it really has nothing to do with Sony about being release in the states. And Also, no it isn't just a TV channel, its a HD live stream of different sports. On the Satelite BBC just release 24 Olympic channels, which covers every single sport there is.
