Painkiller Hell & Damnation will be unleashed on January 22, 2013 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.

A remake of the 2004 first-person shooter, Painkiller will retail for £24.99 for Sony and Microsoft’s systems, while the PC release will come in two flavours: standard and Collector’s Edition, priced at £17.99 and £24.99, respectively.

The standard release will feature an A3 size poster, while the CE release packs an array of goodies such as stickers, postcards, making-of DVD and a heavy metal soundtrack.

Said Nordic Games’ Peter Hercher: "We're committed to offering games of the highest quality and rewarding the fans with additional content that truly adds depth.”

"It's fantastic that we can offer this at a price which is superb value for money. The game is an explosive action classic that has been packed full of the darkest parts of hell and fantastic bonus material, for an extreme, demonic experience."

Painkiller is being developed by The Farm 51 and utilizes Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 3, promising redrawn high-definition visuals, visceral combat, massive boss fights and fast-paced action.

Gamespot also has the most unbiased reviews that aren't factored by ad money and publisher perks, right?

Seriously hope they make this 3D compatible. Played the original on the PC with 3D and it was stunning.
