Sales of FIFA 13 have reached a staggering 7.4 million in just four weeks, making it “the biggest sports launch of all-time” says publisher Electronic Arts.

The footie outing was released in late September, and moved 4.5 million copies in five days resulting in it being labelled the biggest videogame launch of 2012. In the U.K., it made up 71 per cent of the region’s total videogame unit sales during the week ended September 29.

Elsewhere, EA confirmed that digital net revenue for the FIFA series has topped $115 million during the first half of fiscal 13. FIFA Online 2 and FIFA World Class Soccer both drummed up $50 million combined.
