With a new Devil May Cry developer looking to give Capcom’s hack n’ slash franchise a fresh impetus, it’s no wonder that some fans of Dante’s demon killing exploits are slightly concerned that Ninja Theory may not do the game justice. The fact that Dante looks like he’s just auditioned for a spot with UK boy-band One Direction doesn’t help.

I too had those concerns, but now they've been put to bed. After playing through the game’s first ten levels I’ve had a great time hacking demons to pieces with frantic combo chains, dragging Harpys from the air with the Demon Pull and then juggling them above my head with the insane speed of my angelic scythe. Want to find out more?

Check out the DmC 2013 preview video, which includes gameplay footage and commentary.
