Fresh details on the as-yet unannounced Injustice 3 have emerged in a new report on MP1st, which reveals that the characters of Batwoman and Supergirl are set to join the roster of the upcoming superhero fighting game sequel.
The details come from a stunt worker resume who has frequently collaborated with developer NetherRealm Studios, which mentions ‘Batwoman & Supergirl” under the ‘Role Position’ heading. Furthermore, the resume also lists animator and stunt coordinator Jake Huang, who previously worked on Mortal Kombat 1.
Supergirl had a major role in Injustice 2 so it’s probably not shocking to to see her back for the sequel, although in regards to Batwoman, this will be he first appearance in the mainline Injustice games. She previously appeared in the Injustice mobile game, although as MP1st’s report notes, the character also showed up in various tie-in comics, with this particular version of the Bat-family being Kate Kane, who meets her end at Superman’s hands.
As previously reported, Injustice 3 was heavily rumoured to be the mystery title that was being playtested in California recently where it was listed as a “triple-A fighting game” by Good Gamer Group. Prior to this, a third Injustice game was listed on the resume for an artist working at Warner Bros. Games. An official announcement has yet to be made by NetherRealm, however.
