Square on Final Fantasy X HD: 'The world will get answers soon'

Final Fantasy X is my second-favorite JRPG of all time. Its sweeping tale of love set against catastrophic, world-altering conflict is as timeless as the Sphere Grid level-up system. So when Square Enix announced a high-def remaster of Final Fantasy X for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita at TGS 2011, I was suitably excited. Actually, I was beside myself with feverish anticipation.

That elation has since subsided into apathy, as next to nothing has been mentioned about the game since. Thankfully, that may change very soon. In response to a Twitter query from a fan eager for news on Final Fantasy X HD's progress, Square Enix Europe responded with a heartening message: "The world will get answers soon, we promise."

I sure hope so, because September 2011 is a long time ago, and there are millions of Final Fantasy X fans waiting to see how this remaster will bring a beloved classic into the high-definition era.

Cross-buy? Cross-save? Visual improvements? Content from the International Edition? Only time will tell, but on the off chance that Square Enix is watching this article, drop a comment below and tell us what Final Fantasy X HD should feature to set itself apart from the ongoing parade of last-gen remakes.

I would love to see this go from a Final Fantasy X hd remake to a complete remake of VII. Ok kidding (but not kidding) aside, I would like to see dlc quest story add ons though I dont even know if that's possible. Also imorove the soundtrack from midi files to maybe a live orchestra (or just better live recorded samples)

I've only ever played/bought 3 FF games. FF7 which I loved, FF9 which I don't remember so it couldn't have been that good IMO. And FF10 which was amazing. I even bought the whole PS2 HDD thing for it and everything. I was hooked on the game, but never got to actually finish it because towards the end my disc was scratched and wouldn't play any more.

Well that was probably like 10 years ago and that was the last time I played FF. Please square let me give you my money and get to finish this game, this time in HD!

Not interested in a remake. I would rather see them make new games. But really, this is an HD remaster. It shouldn't take as long as their other projects.
