PSN maintenance extended into Friday

The PlayStation Network's scheduled maintenance this evening has unfortunately been extended past its intended duration time.
The mainenance period was initially scheduled from 8 AM PST this morning until 8 PM PST this evening, but the final word at this point is that it will continue through the night and into tomorrow morning. The official updated statement on the PlayStation Blog states:
"UPDATE: Though estimated to end at 8:00pm PST tonight, maintenance has been extended to tomorrow morning. Updates as we get them."
Thursday nights aren't exactly the highest populated nights for gaming servers, but this is surely a major setback for many gamers this evening. The original article on PS Blog stated that those who were online before maintenance could connect to the PSN, but, with this extension, it's hard to believe that Sony wouldn't kick everyone out to ensure that all issues are properly resolved. Let us know below if this has happened to you, or use the same space to tell us what you've been playing while the network has been down for maintenance.

@2, I can see how stup1d you are. The service is under maintenance which means they are fixing something and enhancing the service. Not like your garb1ge Xbox who every 2 seconds EWWWWWWWOOOOOOO error message "SOME CONTENT ARE NOT AVAILABLE!" I can't believe how people buy the garb1ge machine called Xbox. The PS3 blu ray only pee on Xbox and not to mention lack of games and updates that they wait every 10 years for 1 update.

This won't stop me from playing my games on my PS3 and no way will I buy an XBOX 360, not enough exclusive games for me. Plus PSN needs fixing, had problems downloading "dead nation" via PSN.

@ Jason cry some more about how the advanced console that is beating the sales of the outdated and under loved xbox needs some extra time to secure their network and give us a better surrounding to play with. Cry some more. Xbox is a sloppy rip with nothing I would touch with a ten foot pole.

While negotiating it is crucial remain calm and avoid flowing into judgements. When your dealer gifts you through an additional attribute or assistance simply spend some time to temporarily halt and think it over. automotiveplanet
