With the PlayStation Meeting happening tomorrow night, one must wonder what games will follow the possible announcement of PlayStation 4. One Square Enix visionary might've just given us a lead.
Yoshihisa Hashimoto, Technical Director for Square Enix, has embarked on a journey from Japan to New York City, where tomorrow evening's PlayStation Meeting is being held. Mr. Hashimoto posted a picture of his flight on Facebook, but deleted it shortly after. The folks over at NeoGaf, were able to track the plane Hashimoto was getting on and verify that it is indeed headed to NYC.
You might remember Square Enix showcasing the "Agni's Philosophy" demo at last year's E3, which created a lot of hype for its new "Luminous Engine." Square also confirmed in an interview at Paris Games Week that a major unveiling of Agni's Philosophy on "different platforms" will be shown "around June of [2013]."
Is it possible that Hashimoto is headed to the PlayStation Meeting to show off Agni's Philosophy on PS4? Give us your take in the comments section below and keep your eyes peeled to PlayStation Universe for livestream coverage of the Sony event and news regarding Final Fantasy.

considering Square/Enix is putting out perfume of final fantasy vs 13 characters Noctus it might be FFvs 13. There was a time i loved square-soft untill they made a huge mistake and funneled cash into that final fantasy spirits within film and they went downhill instantly after the buy out. If FFvs13 doesn't wow me and bring back elements that made them standout , i am done with the company..

Spirits within wasnt Square's fault, the movie was taken away from them by hollywoon executives and turned into what we got. Advent Children is closer to what they could have done and a much more FF oriented story. Honestly I think SE got caught in the same type of "trendy hate" that the PS3 suffered their RPGs may have shifted to a more actiony style but they're still the same style of story telling that they've always offered so I don't consider them having gone "down hill" it's just gotten trendy for people to say they have. Short of just releasing Final fantasy 1-7 all over again there's nothing they can do to every shake that trend unless people just stop saying it.
@Aly Hedayat The event is 6pm if you're in New York.

I reckon it will be FF Versus 13 (or as it possibly could be known now as FF 15). I called it over a year ago and half ago that it was being developed for PS4 instead hence the delay in any information on it as they have been waiting for the official annoucement of PS4. Mark my words, as soon as the PS4 is announced there will be a flood of information about FF versus 13 soon after which I will be very much looking forward to :) Wouldn't be surprised if it is realeased soon after the launch of PS4 as it is pretty much complete, maybe not a launch game though as it would suffer with sales at first unless Sony has convinced them to push up sales of PS4.

@3
Square opened up a movie division that "spirtis within" was being handled by and quickly went under when it bombed. I was around for all this , not just net information. You can even look it up yourself. They had become susceful with the games they gambled on a movie and the mistake was that it WASNT anything like the game (or what made it popular) but more scifi.
I doubt putting the company that made it $50 million in the hole would be called a financial success. Hence they got bought out. It was one of the biggest failures ever financially, making less than a tenth of the budget worldwide, and Squaresoft had EVERYTHING to do with making this movie, it was their very own film studio who made the film, and many of the game directors and artists had a say in this film. This forced them to merge and that was when it started becoming diluted and loss its originality. Final Fntasy itself is not a COD, it has a following but not as huge as some think. They no longer took game chances, new ips very rarly are released and they even broke there own rule (every FF is a new game. No sequel) . Which is why its called Final Fantasy. I followed square all the way from trhe famicon era, SNES to current. Keep in mind, im 28. -
