Academy Award-nominated actor Willem Dafoe (Platoon, Spider-Man) will star in Quantic Dream's psychological action thriller game Beyond: Two Souls.

Alongside Ellen Page (another Academy Award nominee), Dafoe plays a government scientist named Nathan Dawkins. Page stars as the game's protagonist, Jodie, a young woman who has had supernatual powers all her life and a connection to an invisible companion named Aiden. Dawkins begins researching and interacting with Jodie starting when she's a young child and in the process becomes a father figure to her.

With Dafoe joining the cast, Quantic Dream's upcoming title is set to be an emotional and amazingly acted interactive narrative. A release date of October 8, 2013, along with preorder details, were announced today.
