Watch Dogs' lead designer has left his roost at Ubisoft Montreal to seek another opportunity at EA Gothenburg.

Lead game designer Jamie Keen, who maintained his position from his work with Far Cry 3, now appears to be working on a new Need for Speed project with Ea Gothenburg that will feature EA's Frostbite 2 engine. His actual departure from Ubisoft Montreal took place in February 2012 according to his Linkedin profile, but he worked on Far Cry 3 with Ubisoft after that time period. Videogamer.com asked Ubisoft about it, but the representative was "not able to comment" on how these times don't jive.

There aren't signs that Watch Dogs will suffer, in terms of development, but a lot can happen before this holiday season. Hopefully, Ubisoft Montreal has everything hashed out, so Watch Dogs doesn't suffer from the loss of Jamie Keen as lead designer.
