Just as we’ve been furnished with details about the latest entry in Ubisoft’s historically-flavoured action adventure series, another mysterious title has popped up suggesting that the French publisher has something else up its sleeve.

Last week, Ubisoft announced Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, but today a rather low-quality image has cropped up online, emblazoned with the logo ‘Assassin’s Creed Rising Phoenix”. The image has the text ‘Ubisoft Digital Arts: Internal Use Only’ in the bottom left-hand corner and the Ubisoft logo in the right-hand corner.

It’s rumoured that a PS Vita spin-off to Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is in the works. Could this be the name of the new Vita title?

    Ohhhh the posibilitys!!

Heres my initial ideas, could be totaly wrong but meh.

Right, so after events in 3 involving Abstergo. the Phoenix Rising could refer to their efforts to undo the damage done by Desmond. Perhaps following a lead on another apple leads to another captive test subject. Now the name could suggest something far eastern, however the background prompts ideas of underground, maybe bunkers? Perhaps World War 2 setting where Abstergo are trying to rise from the fire after being decemated by WW1?

Time will tell, and Assassin's Creed is all about Time
