The Last Of Us is 'totally scary and frightening' says Naughty Dog

Speaking in an interview with The Guardian, Naughty Dog’s creative director, Neil Druckmann, has described the performance capture sessions for the upcoming action adventure as “ totally scary and horrifying”.

Focusing on the survivors of a plague that has killed millions, The Last Of Us caused quite a stir when it was first revealed to the public. With the same high quality production values that we’ve enjoyed in Naughty Dog’s Uncharted series, it’s a game full of violence and tension as survivors try and avoid the infected, but there’s also a firm focus on story-telling and relationships, told through the main characters, Joel and Ellie and those they meet.

By the sounds of it, Naughty Dog is pulling out all of the stops to ensure that these two main actors, and those performing as the Infected, play their part in creating an atmosphere so tense that you could cut it with a knife. We can't wait!

The Last Of Us demo will launch on May 31, exclusively for God Of War: Ascension customers. The final release date is currently penned as June 14, 2013, exclusively on PlayStation 3.
