War Thunder, a military-themed MMO from Gaijin Entertainment, is headed to PlayStation 4 this holiday season.
The game takes full advantage of the power of Sony’s next-generation console, offering comprehensive social functions and innovative cloud options. Gaijin says the DualShock 4 pad will offer an intuitive control experience, as gamers experience action-packed battles throughout World War II in the air, on land and at sea.
Furthermore, PS4 has afforded the game makers a chance to incorporate a variety of enhancements, such as improved head-tracking, easier socializing tools, smart and easy options to record, and much more.
“We're convinced that our cooperation with Sony will not only make the War Thunder franchise better, but it will give our fans a new level of gaming experience that will figuratively blown their mind,” said Gaijin Entertainment’s Creative Director Kirill Yudintsev.
“Partnering with Sony Computer Entertainment is the most natural progression for the War Thunder brand, from our hugely successful beginnings on PC with more than 1.5 million players, to our recent announcement that War Thunder is under development for mobile devices. We are excited to bring War Thunder to the leading next-generation platform, the PS4.”
Previously available on PC, War Thunder has attracted 1.5 million players, with a fan base that continues to expand exponentially. The game is currently in its open beta phase, allowing users a chance to take the game for an early spin.
War Thunder is due out on PS4 later this year. Stay tuned to PSU.com for more information.
