Assassin’s Creed 5 set in Russia — rumor

The chaps at Assassin’s Creed: Initials (via OnlySP) have indicated that the next chapter in Ubisoft’s stealth-action franchise will possibly take place in Russia.

The site first Tweeted (4e6f727468) = 110.646 – 55.762667, which according to a poster on NeoGAF, means North. The user then punched this into Google Earth, coming up with a possible location for the modern day Assassin’s Creed storyline.

Next up, (45617374) = 74.795917 – 37.579250 was posted, meaning East. Again, a quick look at Google Earth points to a location near Moscow, Russia. Could this be the setting for the main historical portion of Assassin’s Creed V?

It’s worth pointing out that the series has a well-established Russian assassin, thanks to the comic Assassin’s Creed: The Fall. This particular story focuses on Nikolai Orelov between 1888-1908, as well as his modern-day descendant, Daniel Cross.

As such, it isn’t entirely out of the question that Ubisoft could be willing to explore the Russian setting for a full-fledged video game outing.
