Exodus Is Now Available To Wishlist On The PS Store, Game Inspirations Include Mass Effect, Horizon & Metroid Prime

Archetype Entertainment’s Exodus is now available to Wishlist on the PlayStation Store, with a new Q&A also revealing a bunch of key information on the game.

While more details on gameplay, a release date, and other info will be released at a later date, the Q&A did provide some interesting tidbits. For starters, the game’s director, Chris King, was was inspired by a number of titles when working on Exodus, notably Mass Effect (combat), Horizon (elemental power/weapons), and Metroid Prime (exploration and loneliness).

The game’s combat is designed to feel cinematic and strategic, putting emphasis on player choice and agency. Furthermore, the variety of enemies will evolve as you progress thorough the game, starting out with basic foes while on your home planet, Lidon, such as human factions and Celestial constructs, before progressing to more dangerous adversaries.

Exodus is scheduled for release in 2026 for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S.
