Namco Bandai has confirmed it will release a high-definition version of Soul Calibur II for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
Soul Calibur II HD Online will be released as part of the critically-acclaimed brawler’s 10th anniversary festivities, and as the name suggests includes full online multiplayer – something which was not present in the original.
Due out in fall 2013, SCII HD Online includes all-new net code to facilitate online play, as well as a healthy dose of game modes: Arcade, Survival, VS Battle, Time Attack, Survival, Team Battle, Practice and Weapon Master.
The original version of SCII was released on PlayStation 2, GameCube and Xbox, with each version featuring its own exclusive character. From the look of the trailer below, it looks like Heihachi and Spawn – exclusive to the PS3 and 360 versions, respectively – will be back.
