Officially announced on the UK PlayStation Blog, Square-Enix will refund all purchases made August 27 or 28 regarding Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn through the PlayStation Network.
Since server congestion has riddled the MMO’s launch period, SE has made moves to alleviate some of the frustrations while it fixes the issues at hand. Apart from these digital refunds, which apply to both the regular and collector’s editions, SE has also given players an extra free week of play time before subscriptions take over.
The blog post also confirmed that assets will be returned once digital purchases are re-established for SE’s newest title, and these assets will appear in consumer download lists once FFXIV can be purchases digitally again.
Let us know your experiences with SE’s newest MMO. Many of us internally at PSU Towers have experienced similar frustrations, and we want to hear about yours, so take to the comments below.
