Speaking during a livestream event, Naughty Dog’s Arne Meyer suggested that the upcoming Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End will be the biggest game in the franchise yet in terms of game length.

Meyer revealed that Nathan Drake’s final adventure is meatier than the original PlayStation 3 trilogy regardless of what difficult to you play it on, describing the sequel as having a “pretty significant length.”

He also said that due to the large environments on offer that allow players to explore more, there isn’t such a thing as a typical playthrough of Uncharted 4.

Elsewhere, Meyer confirmed the presence of a Photo Mode with gamers able to take snapshots by hitting L3 & R3. The main campaign will not have a co-op mode enabled, he added.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is due out exclusively on PS4 on May 10, 2016. The game takes place a few years after Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, and sees Nate coming out of retirement as a fortune hunter when he’s reunited with his long-lost brother, Sam.

The older Drake sibling appears to have got himself into a bit of a pickle, and so the duo, alongside Victor Sullivan, head off in search of a legendary pirate’s treasure to seek riches beyond measurable wealth.

Naughty Dog has been speaking at length to the press lately, revealing a few interesting tidbits on the upcoming action-adventure sequel. Chiefly, the studio confirmed it’s the only game it has made to date that doesn’t feature pre-rendered cutscenes

The Santa Monica outfit also said it feels it has achieved resolution for Drake, and that the game’s opening is among the strongest in its entire history. In terms of performance, the studio is cramming in as much detail as the PS4 will allow.
