Uncharted 4 day-one patch confirmed, weighs in at 5GB

The day-one patch for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is already out in the wild despite the fact the game isn’t out for another 12 days.

AllGamesDelta outed the patch, which adds a number of general game fixes and improvements, plus various bonus features. The update weighs in at 5GB.

Naughty Dog’s hotly anticipated PlayStation 4 title is scheduled for release on May 10, 2016. Unfortunately, Sony confirmed earlier this week that a shipment of games were stolen in a violent theft while in transit.

Furthermore, some gamers were able to acquire copies of the game two weeks ahead of launch, with one customer being sold Uncharted 4 in his local CEX in the U.K. Amazon were reportedly also shipping out early copies of the game in the U.S. and Germany.

Unsurprisingly, Sony has warned PS4 owners to be extra vigilant when it comes to spoilers flooding the web from early leaks.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End takes place a few years after its 2011 predecessor, as we catch up with Nathan Drake as he’s retired as a fortune hunter and working a regular 9-5 and enjoying married life with Elena.

However, his world soon takes a drastic turn as he’s reunited with his brother, Sam, and it’s not long before the pair (alongside long-time mentor Victor Sullivan) set off on another globetrotting treasure hunt.

Naughty Dog has injected a number of new additions to the Uncharted formula this time around, including large-scale environments, enhanced stealth mechanics, improved AI and meatier fist fights.
