Bill Gardner, Creative Director at The Deep End Games, has announced that Perception will be coming to the PlayStation 4 after a partnership with Feardemic.
Perception is a first-person narrative horror adventure that tells the story of a woman named Cassie. The bad news is that Cassie is blind, however the good news that she can use her near super hero hearing and wits to uncover the mysteries of an abandoned house. The same house which gives her nightmares.
“After months of research, she discovers an abandoned mansion in Gloucester, MA. Once there, Cassie finds that Echo Bluff is worse than her nightmares. A ghostly Presence has tormented its inhabitants over generations, and it now hunts Cassie.”
Cassie is able to find her way around by using her cane and can “see” via echolocation. She must avoid detection and use the ambient sounds of the house to help her around, but that’s where things get tricky. Every sound creates a visual for you, however every sound will also attract enemies to your location.
