Xbox One X Anthem gameplay photoshopped for PS4 Pro

Sony’s official PlayStation YouTube account has become the subject of much ridicule over the weekend, after footage of Anthem was uploaded sporting some conspicuously dodgy photoshopping.

The gameplay footage of BioWare’s upcoming sci-fi opus is identical to the E3 2017 Xbox One X preview, albeit seemingly running on PS4 Pro instead. However, this isn’t the case at all; instead, EA or Sony has attempted to photoshop the on-screen button prompts so they display PS4-specific commands instead of the Xbox One X originals. Only, they’ve done a pretty amateurish job of it, as viewers were only too quick to notice in the comments section.

Anthem was unveiled during E3 2017 last month and is scheduled to roll out for PS4, PC, and Xbox One in fall 2018. The game has been compared to Destiny in many respects, with both games adopting a futuristic, sci-fi setting that takes place in a shared, open-world universe that sees players tackling missions together.
