Nick Breckon, Bethesda Community Manager, has posted on the NeoGAF forums in response to questions about potential patching and he said that Skyrim will be receiving a patch day one.
Breckon said in the forum, "All platforms going to 1.1 by 11/11/11." This could imply that some updates may happen before others, but it does guarantee that every platform will be updated by the 11th, which is the launch day. Details on the patch were avoided, and Breckon posted saying, "There’ll be notes when the time comes."
