Gamescom 2011: Battlefield 3 co-op detailed, demoed on PS3

During EA’s press event at Gamescom today, a live demo of Battlefield 3’s newly-announced co-op mode showed what we can expect when the game drops in October. The co-op mission, which was a rescue and escort mission, was demoed using the PlayStation 3.

Karl Magnus Troedsson, general manager of DICE, and Patrick Soderlund, EVP of EA Games showed off Battlefield 3’s co-op, which features the full range of Battlefield gameplay, they said. Look for a mix of missions in urban warfare, plus air and ground vehicles. You can also compete to see who can finish missions the fastest and take your social experience to the PC, console, and mobile devices.

PSU’s boots on the ground at Gamescom will do their best to get some hands-on time with BF3. Stay tuned.
