In a disappointing move to say the least, Spike TV announced that Grand Theft Auto IV won their Game of the Year award. While we’re sure plenty of you will agree this was an undeserved award, the sales totals Rockstar compiled with this title was very impressive. However, with strong competing titles like Metal Gear Solid 4 in the mix, it’s hard to justify how and why GTA IV was chosen.
We’re not sure if politics played a large part in this decision or if the panel of judges really were this delusional, but we are sure that there were other deserving titles. Thankfully, our readers have spoken and we will be announcing PSU’s Reader’s Choice Awards GOTY tomorrow afternoon.
