Lego Batman franchise (Everything)

There have been a lot of Lego video games, A LOT. What makes the Batman games stand out? Well, for starters it was the first Lego title to incorporate fully-voiced characters. This allowed the developers the tell a better and more fleshed-out story. It was also the first franchise that Lego produced that wasn’t already based on an existing movie or show. The Lego Batman titles have a large selection of DC heroes and villains to play as. The second title allowed us to explore the entirety of Gotham City, while the third instalment sent us to space to explore other worlds, opening the franchise up for more characters and variety in gameplay mechanics.

The Death and Return of Superman (SNES, Sega Genesis, Mega Drive)

Good Superman games are almost impossible to find. One of the exceptions came in 1994 with The Death and Return of Superman. Based on the Death of Superman comic book, this beat ’em up title featured five different playable characters as they progressed through the story of Superman’s death at the hands of Doomsday and eventual resurrection of Superman. One of the unique aspects of this beat ’em up was giving the player the ability to fly during certain missions in the game and attack foes in midair combat.
