PS4 Slim specs
The PS4 Slim (model number CUH-2016A) comes packed with 500GB of storage. According to one person who already has the console in their possession, it also sports a hard-drive bay down the right-hand side so storage is upgradeable.
Other changes noted include:
- Physical eject and power buttons on the left-hand side by the disc slot
- Rounded corners
- Matt-black design rather than glossy
There’s also two USB ports, like the PS4, which appear to be spaced quite a distance from each other. There’s also an ethernet and HDMI port, as well as the port that you use to plug in your PlayStation Camera. Judging by the pictures, there’s no optical output on the PS4 Slim which could mean certain third-party headsets will not be compatible. The neon light that you see on the original PS4 when it’s turned on or in rest mode is also missing. Internal specification changes are currently unknown.
PS4 Slim Review
The first PS4 Slim review has appeared online details exact dimensions and some further specifications, including the fact that the new DualShock 4 controller has had its light bar moved to just above the touchpad, while the d-pad buttons have been enhanced with a slight dip in the centre.
PS4 Slim price
Though a price has yet to revealed, analysts believe that PS4 Slim will retail below the $350 mark, which is cheaper than the original PS4.
