Pop sensation Lana Del Rey looks set to be performing the theme song to IO Interactive’s 007 First Light, with a song registration with the ASCAP for ‘First Light’ spotted by fans on the singer’s subreddit.
Nothing official has been announced regarding her involvement with the James Bond video game outing, and there’s a chance it could simply be related to her own music from her next album, which is due out next year.
The James Bond film franchise has of course used many big-name stars for its theme songs in the past, from the iconic Goldfinger by Shirley Bassey, Paul McCartney & Wings for Live and Let Die, to Billie Eilish for the most recent cinematic outing, No Time To Die.

In addition to being nominated for eleven Grammy Awards throughout her career so far, Del Rey has been awarded an MTV Video Music Award, three MTV Europe Music Awards, two Brit Awards, and two Billboard Women in Music awards.
007 First Light is scheduled for release on PS5, PC, Nintendo Switch 2, and Xbox Series X/S on March 27, 2026.
IO Interactive has previously confirmed that 007 First Light will tell an origins story for James Bond, and focuses on his early career as he works to get his license to kill. As such, we’ll be stepping into the smart shoes of a 26-year-old Bond, long before he adopted his martini-drinking, womanising ways that defined the character during his cinematic outings. The story will take influence from Ian Fleming’s novels and short stories to weave the game’s narrative as we explore Bond’s reckless beginnings.
