Take-Two has announced that Grand Theft Auto V has shipped a staggering 32.5 million units since its release in September 2013.
The company confirmed the figure during its Q3 2014 earnings call last night. GTA V’s success resulted in Take-Two seeing out 2013 as the biggest video game publisher of the year, while the title itself came out on top as last year’s best-selling game.
GTA V now sits proudly among the highest performing video games of all time, which includes the likes of Wii Sports, Minecraft, Tetris, Mario Kart Wii and Super Mario Bros.
Rockstar’s seminal crime romp is heavily rumored to be in development for PlayStation 4, PC and Xbox One, though nothing official has been announced as of yet.
