Sony Computer Entertainment has launched its second trailer in the space of a few days to tease an upcoming game that will be annouced or revealed in more detail at Gamescom next week.
While the first trailer featured a blood-splattered snowflake floating dramatically in slow motion through the air, the latest teaser features the swinging of a blood-soaked axe which lands in the stump of a tree. Right at end of the trailer, a slab of ice, dotted with flecks of blood, cracks.
It seems very likely that the two trailers are linked as ice and blood feature in both. All fingers currently point to Until Dawn, an action adventure inspired by teen horror movies such as Scream, being the game in question. Until Dawn is currently in development by Supermassive Games of Killzone HD and LBP Vita fame. It features a group of teenagers who stay overnight in a lodge only to be picked off one-by-one by a serial killer.
Of couse, this could be something completely different.
GamesCom begins next week and kicks-off with Sony’s Press Conference on Tuesday August 12, 2014.
