Uncharted movie turned down by Chris Pratt

Hollywood heartthrob Chris Pratt turned down the lead role in Sony’s planned movie adaptation of Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, a new report has claimed.

The Hollywood Reporter states that Pratt, who is best known for his role in the summer blockbuster, Guardians of the Galaxy, was approached by filmmakers in regards to filling the shoe of fortune hunter, Nathan Drake.

Pratt was reportedly approached after Mark Wahlberg left the project, who was involved in the movie back when David O’ Russell was in the director’s chair. O’ Russell himself departed in August 2010.

In related news, Mark Boal, screenwriter on The Hurt Locker, has been hired by Sony to spruce up the film’s script.

Uncharted is scheduled to hit cinemas in 2016, with shooting due to begin in early 2015. Right now though, the studio has yet to find someone to fill Nate’s shoes.
