NetherRealm Studios‘ Ed Boon taken to social media to shoot down a couple of the latest rumours regarding the as-yet unannounced Injustice 3.
First of all, the Mortal Kombat co-creator dismissed recent chatter that NetherRealm Studios is partnering with Insomniac Games, the creator behind Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and Marvel’s Wolverine, to create the first ‘AAAA fighting game.’ Speaking on X, Boon simply commented, “100% false. Next rumor please…;)”
In the same thread, he also shot down various other rumours including the recent chatter that Injustice 3 is being tested in California, as previously reported. However, he did add, “But just because a game isn’t currently being tested externally doesn’t necessarily mean the game isn’t in development.”
Earlier this week, it was revealed via the resume of stunt worker that the characters of Supergirl and Batwoman are set to appear in Injustice 3, although again, nothing official has been confirmed by NetherRealm yet.
