Grand Theft Auto V’s story-based DLC appears to be on track again after comments from Take-Two’s Strauss Zelnick indicated the publisher had not spoke of any such plans for the critically acclaimed crime opus.
Zelnick was previously quoted saying, "No, we haven’t discussed any story-based downloadable content. We did talk about the Heists and they’ve been released."
However, speaking in a statement to Game Informer, the vice president of corporate communication and public affairs for Take-Two said that, "Strauss [Zelnick, CEO] misspoke during today’s call, as over a year ago Rockstar Games had said that they were exploring story mode content for Grand Theft Auto V."
While this latest update seems to confirm that the DLC is still in the pipeline, we’re still none the wiser as to when we can expect the content to drop.
Take-Two announced in its earnings call earlier this week that GTA V has sold-in 52 million copies to retailers worldwide. It’s also moved over 5 million boxed copies in the U.K. to date.
Gamers can look forward to the Rockstar Editor being made available for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game this summer. Read our review of GTA V on PS4 here.
