Warner Bros cancel Arkham Knight Batmobile Edition pre-orders

Warner Bros have informed customers who pre-ordered the Batmobile Edition of the upcoming Batman: Arkham Knight  they will no longer be releasing this edition thanks to an unknown issue with the transforming model Batmobile.

A poster on NeoGaf showed an e-mail he recieved from U.K. retailer Game stating that Warner Bros have pulled this particular edition due to ”unforseen circumstances that greatly compromised the quality of the Batmobile”. In this case; Game apologise and offer a £20 discount on the Red Hood Edition as a gesture of goodwill.

Other retailers worldwide have had to issue the same sort of apology e-mail to customers who had pre-ordered or all-out paid for this Limited Edition of Rocksteady’s final chapter in the Arkham Trilogy (they don’t count Origins and neither do we) with less than a week till the game releases and with other high-profile Limited Editions of the title currently out of stock.

Understandably, people are more than a little miffed at this news coming so late and not from Warner themselves, but the retailers they’ve purchased from, though most are fairly understanding that perhaps a transforming model Batmobile was a bit too ambitious as collectable tat goes.
