Kotaku reports that the forced motion controls present in Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune on PlayStation 3 have been removed from its high-definition incarnation in the forthcoming Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection.
Early PS3 adopters may recall developers implementing use of the DualShock 3’s SixAxis functionality in a number of games, with Drake’s Fortune being one of them. Specifically, gamers were required to use the SixAxis feature to balance on logs and throw grenades at enemies.
However, it appears that developer Bluepoint Games has removed the log balancing sequences entirely, and while gamers can still lob explosives at foes using motion control, it isn’t mandatory like it was previously.
Elsewhere, the site says that a new difficulty setting has been added to The Nathan Drake Collection, designed to appeal to veteran Uncharted players.
Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection is due out on PlayStation 4 in October, and includes access to the multiplayer beta for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. It won’t, however, feature the online multiplayer content from Uncharted 2 and 3.
