Capcom’s Street Fighter V multiplayer beta will be stepping into the ring for a punch-up later this week, and retailers including Amazon and GameStop have started rolling out download codes for customers to redeem.
There’s two downloads in total: one is the beta itself, which weighs in at 1.409GB, while the other, an update file, also eats up 1.409GB on your PlayStation 4 hard drive.
The beta itself will kick off at 18.00 PT on July 23 and will run for approximately five days. Four characters will be available from the get-go, namely Charlie, Chun-Li, Ryu and M. Bison, while Birdie and Cammy will join in the action on July 25.
As previously reported, the beta will not feature local multiplayer support, and will remain online only for its entire duration.
Street Fighter V is scheduled for release on PS4 and PC in spring 2016. Capcom has promised that the initial release will be the ‘only disc you’ll ever have to buy,’ and expects the fighting sequel to sell over two million copies worldwide. Check out the latest trailer here.
