Destiny: The Taken King PS4 file size confirmed

Bungie has confirmed that Destiny: The Taken King will weigh in at approximately 18GB on PlayStation 4 for those of you who will be downloading the upcoming expansion.

In addition, the former Halo developer confirmed that the DLC will eat up 18GB on Xbox One, 20GB on PlayStation 3 and 10GB on Xbox 360.

Unsurprisingly, the studio recommends upgrading your hard drive if you happen to be using a last-generation console with the lowest memory capacity.

If you are validated as an existing and active Destiny player on one of the 20GB consoles as of September 15, 2015, and you submit your validation requirements to us no later than December 31, 2015, we will assist you in finding the right solution for your console’s storage space,” said the company.

The Taken King is due out on September 15. To prepare for the DLC, we recommend checking out the latest exotic gear confirmed to arrive, read up on the new Guardian subclasses and finally, see the all-new strike ‘Shield Brothers‘ in action.

Finally, those of you who enjoy taking part in the Iron Banner had probably better get in pretty sharpish; you have until Tuesday to enjoy the timed PvP event for the last time prior to The Taken King’s arrival.
