We know it’s been coming for a while, but if you caught Destiny’s Twitch livestream yesterday, Bungie actually took a good look at some of the swords you can forge. Fans finally have gotten the details they’ve been looking for! These are considered to be heavy weapons and do require purple ammunition to ‘charge’ them, but are definitely worth it for those who want a little variation from shooting and just want to look really cool wielding them.
What’s different about the swords as opposed to the other weapons and loot is that you can’t just find them. You have to forge them yourself, with your own virtual hands by going through a series of objectives, almost like the quests you would go on for other exotic weapons in the game.
They control like Hive Blades, so unsheathing these weapons automatically puts you in a third person perspective. It’s always nice to have more options when brutally murdering your enemies, right? The sword that revealed in the livestream was called “Raze-Lighter” which seems to have certain perks, like buffing your armor defense, which would be beneficial when you’re fighting these terrifying brutes up close, but will all swords have that buff? Will other swords have other cool perks? We’ll see!
