-Minor fixes for stability

-Audio and visual improvements

-Performance optimizations including tweaks to aiming controls

-Minor gameplay bug fixes

Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection packages three critically acclaimed PS3-era adventure games in one high-definition bundle: Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception. The ports are being handled by Bluepoint Games, and will not include the multiplayer components featured in Uncharted 2 and 3.

In addition to remastering Nathan Drake’s treasure hunting exploits in 1080p/60fps for PS4, the bundle includes a Photo Mode and eschews the mandatory motion-controls featured in Drake’s Fortune. The collection will also give gamers access to the Uncharted 4 multiplayer beta, which is due to commence in December prior to the sequel’s March 18, 2016 launch.

Those of you who have yet to make the jump to PS4 will probably want to invest in the Uncharted Collection hardware bundle to get you started. As previously reported, the bundle will eat up over 40GB on your console. Uncharted fans will probably want to turn their attention to the Collector’s Edition version of The Nathan Drake Collection, which includes a copy of the game plus a host of extra goodies.

Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune was originally released for PS3 back in fall 2007, and was followed by Uncharted 2 in 2009 and Uncharted 3 in 2011. The series also received a PS Vita-exclusive adventure in 2012 in the shape of Uncharted: Golden Abyss, though it is not included in The Nathan Drake Collection. The franchise has become one of Sony’s top-selling first-party IPs, moving over 21 million copies to date.

Unsurprisingly, a movie adaptation is currently in the works, though has been stuck in development hell for quite some time now. Originally due to commence filming earlier this year, the project has now been delayed and will hit cinemas at some time in 2017. Despite not starring as Nathan Drake in the film, Nolan North, who voices the cocky hero in the video games, has expressed interest in a cameo role in the movie.

All eyes are currently on Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, which is set to be the final game featuring Drake; Naughty Dog even admitted that continuing the series without him would be difficult to imagine.
