Bungie has confirmed that Destiny’s tough-as-nails PvP event, Iron Banner, will be making a return to the shared-world shooter on December 29.
Next Iron Banner? December 29th. Once SRL concludes, Lord Saladin returns to the Tower. Gear announcements to come. Stay tuned.

The Crucible-based event, which takes into consideration a Guardian’s armor and weapon stats, will be available to take part in as soon as the Sparrow Racing League comes to its conclusion later this month. Once again, gamers will be able to visit Lord Saladin for bounties and rare gear, although at this point in time, it’s unknown just what the moody merchant will be offering.
Bungie has previously commented that gamers can expect more event-based updates for Destiny going forward, as opposed to the large expansion packs ala The Taken King. Nonetheless, the former Halo developer teased that one major update will arrive by spring 2016 and will be the biggest addition to Destiny since September’s DLC.
