Final Fantasy XV has been confirmed for worldwide release on September 30, 2016 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

The grand announcement was made by Square Enix at its Uncovered: Final Fantasy XV live event held in Los Angeles this evening.

A deluge of new trailers, screenshots, and announcements about Final Fantasy XV has come as a result of Square Enix’s live event. We’ll be updating our website with that information shortly, but for now, enjoy the game’s latest trailers, both featuring a cover of the classic song "Stand by Me" by Florence + The Machine:

This one has additional footage, including the boys on a boat and their car transforming into a FLYING car.

Final Fantasy XV started its life as Final Fantasy Versus XIII and was first announced a decade ago. After years of beleagured development, changing hands, and a shifting vision, the final product will stand as the latest core entry in the venerated Final Fantasy franchise.
