Final Fantasy XV ‘Platinum Demo’ available now for free, features new gameplay

A new Final Fantasy XV playable demo has just landed on the PlayStation Store.

The 3.8 GB download features main character Noctis as a child in a dreamscape. You can adjust the weather and play with day-and-night cycles, as well as play the most up-to-date version of Final Fantasy XV’s combat.

Our last playable demo, and our first exposure to Final Fantasy XV’s action battle system, was in Episode Duscae, a demo that shipped with Final Fantasy Type-0. While this early look showed potential, Square Enix quickly reacted to feedback that combat lacked oomph and felt sluggish.

Check out the trailer for Platinum Demo, and get downloading! Completing the demo is the only way to secure yourself a Carbuncle summon in the main game.

Download Platinum Demo – Final Fantasy XV on PlayStation Store.

Final Fantasy XV will launch September 30, 2016.
