Naughty Dog has still yet to decide on ideas regarding the single-player expansion for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.
Speaking during a chinwag with Twinfinite, Troy Baker, the voice actor who portrays Sam Drake in the action-adventure sequel, said that the California-based studio is still ‘recuperating’ after shipping the game in May 2016.
“They’re still batting about ideas, I don’t think they’ve even landed on one. Those guys are still recuperating from shipping that game,” said Baker. “When you work with someone like Naughty Dog, you just have to trust them and I’m sure they’re going to make the right decision.”
Baker’s comments shouldn’t come as much of a shock for fans of Uncharted 4, as Naughty Dog recently admitted it’ll be a while before we hear anything about the DLC. It also said earlier in the year it had no idea what to do with the single-player content.
Uncharted 4 was released exclusively on PlayStation 4 on May 10, 2016, and sold over 2.7 million copies in its first week alone. The game topped the U.K. All Format Chart and gave the series its biggest launch to date, and performed well in North America to boot.
Naughty Dog has confirmed it is stepping away from the Uncharted series, although hasn’t ruled out the possibility of another studio taking over the franchise down the line.
For now though, the developer will be supporting the game with numerous multiplayer updates until spring 2017, among which includes free maps and other content.
